What is ovarian stimulation? Why is it a necessary procedure during a fertility treatment? In today’s episode, Dr. Raymundo Romero 👨⚕️, reproductive biologist and gynecologist at #AdvancedFertilityCenterCancun, will talk about the process of ovarian stimulation and it’s importance.
The ovarian stimulation process is often done to patients who are going through an IVF treatment.
It usually takes 12 days, from the first injection to the day of the retrieval of the eggs. The ovarian stimulation allows the eggs to mature and be ready for the fertilization.
Once the eggs are retrieved from the patient, they are fertilized with the sperm sample, creating an embryo. This embryo is later placed back into the uterus so it can start its development.
