Fertility preservation is a set of medical techniques that allow the conservation of eggs, sperm, or embryos for future use, giving individuals the opportunity to postpone parenthood without losing the biological possibility of conceiving.
This option is ideal for those who wish to protect their fertility in situations that may affect it, such as medical treatments (chemotherapy, radiotherapy), advanced age, or simply for personal or professional reasons.

Egg Cryopreservation
The process of extracting and freezing eggs to be used in the future through in vitro fertilization (IVF).
When preserving oocytes (eggs), a surgical procedure is required to retrieve them and then vitrify (freeze) them—this process is known as cryopreservation.
To prepare, medications are used for approximately 10–12 days to stimulate the ovarian follicles, aiming to retrieve the highest possible number of eggs.
The eggs are collected through ultrasound-guided aspiration in the operating room.

Sperm Cryopreservation
The collection and freezing of semen samples for future use.
When preserving sperm, no medication is needed. The patient must abstain from ejaculation for 2–5 days prior to the sample collection.
The sample is then frozen in vials using specialized cryopreservation methods. It is recommended to provide multiple samples to ensure an adequate quantity for future use.
Embryo Cryopreservation
The freezing of fertilized embryos, ready to be transferred when the patient is prepared.
Medication is used for approximately 10-12 days to stimulate the follicles in a woman’s ovaries with the aim of obtaining the largest number of eggs.

The eggs are collected using ultrasound-guided aspiration in the operating room.
